Materevolve is pleased to share the report from the "California Microfiber Workshop: Science, Innovation and Connection” that we hosted in partnership with NOAA's Marine Debris Program in November 2020, with funding provided by NOAA and the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. The workshop convened 85 California leaders in marine science, policy, and sustainable textile innovation to connect, share knowledge, and discuss solutions for microfiber pollution. The report summarizes the workshop and provides an overview of the microfibers issue from the textile perspective, current efforts in California, solutions, and next steps and recommendations.
